transCDA is recognized by the Industry Training Authority (ITA) as an Industry Training Organization (ITO) for British Columbia’s transportation industry. It is an incorporated society governed by a Board of Directors of ten transportation-sector representatives that oversees twenty-six ITA apprentice programs, four of which are Accredited (Red Seal) programs and altogether involve over 2,500 apprentices. ITOs are the mechanism by which the ITA gives industry lead responsibility for improving industry training in a specific sector. ITOs are established by industry and are not-for-profit legal entities with responsibility for designated industry training programs.

transCDA projects include program maintenance, new program development, stakeholder consultation, and strategic initiatives undertaken by transCDA. Our web log is a tool that serves as a communication platform to build awareness, engage and seek feedback from apprentices, employers, industry stakeholders and the general public.
